Everyone Deserves Basic Health & Dental Care 💙🦷
Long waiting lists and limited access to NHS services are hurting our communities—especially disadvantaged families who rely on public healthcare. No one should have to wait years for essential treatments, or face choosing between healthcare and feeding their families.
Recently, I had to turn to private healthcare for a dental check-up after being unable to access NHS support since 2020. I walked out overwhelmed—£600 for a few fillings, with my insurance covering only half of it for the year. That’s just one appointment. A hygienist visit? Another £120.
Meanwhile, I’m already paying £350 monthly for private healthcare for my daughter’s ADHD management, after being on NHS waiting lists for over 4 years—and still waiting.
People who are unable to work due to medical reasons and rely on Universal Credit shouldn’t be forced to choose between vital healthcare and putting food on the table. Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege reserved for the wealthy.

Proposal to amendments of shared care agreement policy
Petition to Amend the Shared Care Agreement Policy (2018) to Protect Families of Neurodivergent Children in Exceptional Circumstances
We call on policymakers to urgently review and amend the current Shared Care Agreement policy to better support families with neurodivergent children facing urgent and exceptional needs.
Currently, families like ours are facing significant financial and emotional hardship due to delays in NHS assessments, costly private assessments, and lack of protections during urgent situations such as sudden health declines or behavioral crises. The existing policy offers no safeguards for these critical moments, forcing families into financial hardship and risking the well-being of vulnerable children.
We urge for the introduction of protective measures, including financial caps, expedited assessment pathways, and clear guidelines for emergency situations, to ensure that families are supported and protected during times of urgent need.

Inclusion park proposal SKDC
I believe it is essential that our local park is inclusive for all children, regardless of their abilities. To support this vision, I have applied to SKDC and requested their assistance in installing inclusive equipment, such as a disability swing with a harness and a ground-level small trampoline. I truly believe that investing in these small but meaningful additions can make a significant difference, ensuring that every child, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities, has the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from our community’s recreational spaces.
