The RORA Project our commitments

From the moment she came into my life, she brought a light that has transformed everything. Aurora, shes more than just a girl ; she's my neurospicy girl —my constant, my confidant, my teacher. ✨Living with her has shown me the beauty and strength in neurodiversity. Aurora has ADHD, autism, and sensory processing disorder, and her unique way of experiencing the world has opened my eyes to new perspectives. She teaches me patience, understanding, and unconditional love every day. Her sensory needs, her bursts of energy, and her gentle calm moments remind me that every struggle is met with resilience and grace. She’s a reminder that our differences make us special and that love can overcome any challenge.

I've taken auroras case to pals, the ICB and local MP #aliciakearns outlining the detrimental impact lengthy waiting lists is having on children like Aurora. In August 2023, due to her impulsiveness, she broke her elbow on 4 places requiring emergency surgery. If she had been seen per NICE guidelines, could this have been avoided?

In 2023 over 10 professional expdites were sent but her needs remain unnoticed. And in 2024 she had a crime logged against her due to her behaviours. Isn't this setting vulnerable children up to fail? Maybe a simple informal conversation would have offered more support?

To everyone reading this and finding it resinates, maybe your navigating their own journey of acceptance and growth—know that every step, every moment of patience, is worth it and The RORA Project is there for you. Join our new community Facebook group and dont battle alone. Alternatively you can also find us on Instagram and tiktok too.

I am not a professional but a experienced mum to 4 neurodivergent children who hit rock bottom and decided to find a way to ensure families like ours are not left to suffer in silence

RORA Project Objective

The RORA Project is dedicated to enhancing community mental wellbeing by providing practical and resourceful support for parents and carers of neurodivergent children. Our mission is to ensure that children in primary school receive the vital neurodivergent and mental health assessments they need to thrive.

Our Commitment

We are committed to offering accessible, timely, and compassionate support to families navigating mental health and neurodivergence. Through our efforts, we aim to bridge gaps in access to essential assessments, empowering parents and carers with the resources and guidance necessary to support their children's developmental and emotional needs.

Crowdfunding Initiative

Our current crowdfunding campaign seeks to raise funds to provide crucial neurodivergent and mental health assessments for primary school-aged children, in accordance with our access guidelines. By contributing, you will help us deliver targeted support to children who need it most, fostering healthier, more resilient communities.

We pledge to promote local mental health and wellbeing services including supporting and promoting local organisations and charity's
