The Beginning of The RORA Project 🌱
About a year ago, a single conversation planted the seed for what has now become The RORA Project.
After helping Aurora with her needs, one person said something that stayed with me:
“You should do something good moving forward.”
Those words stuck in my heart and mind, and slowly an idea began to grow.
I’ve always loved gardening and growing things. There’s something grounding about working with soil, watching plants develop, and learning through nature. But what I really wanted was more than just a garden — I wanted to create an inclusive, unmasked space where people could learn new skills and socialise with others who truly understand the journey.
For me, it was important that this space felt safe. A place where people don’t have to hide who they are. A place where connection, learning, and growth happen naturally.
I spent a long time building this idea into something real. There was a lot of planning, doubt, and hard work behind the scenes. And while there is still so much more to do and a long road ahead, I feel proud of how far we’ve already come.
Slowly, we are beginning to achieve our goals:
Encouraging healthier eating
Supporting mental wellbeing
Reconnecting people with nature
Creating a community built on understanding and inclusion
The RORA Project is still growing — just like the plants we nurture — and every small step forward matters. This is only the beginning, but it already feels meaningful.
What started as a quiet idea after one supportive comment has become something real, something hopeful, and something I truly believe in.
And I can’t wait to see where it grows next. 🌿
